About us

The mission of the outreach services of the School of Medicine is to benefit society in multiple ways. To do so, faculty members, researchers, and students develop programs, projects, and activities aimed at disseminating and applying academic knowledge within a framework of dialogue and respect for beneficiaries.

The School seeks to interact with and transform society through academic and cultural activities, continuing education programs, specialized medical consultation, provision of specialized laboratory services and diagnostic tests, consulting services, and implementation of outreach projects for vulnerable populations.

The following aspects are highlighted: the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) to reach distant and dispersed populations as an innovative and effective strategy, the quality management system at 13 specialized laboratories, the integral social security, the control of vector-transmitted diseases, and programs of attention for victims of armed conflict.
