Important note: A temporary residence permit or tourist visa (PIP-5/TP-11) does not permit a foreign national to perform academic or research activities at the University.

The University does not have any links with agencies providing visa services. If you decide to use these services, please be advised that you do so entirely at your own risk. You are strongly advised to contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the nearest Colombian embassy, consulate or immigration office to seek advice regarding visa services.

Alien ID card

Foreigners holding a visa valid for more than three months are required to apply for a cédula de extranjería or alien identity card at the time of their registration with immigration authorities in Colombia within 15 calendar days from the date of entry into the country, or from the issuance date of the visa if it was issued in the national territory.
