Universidad de Antioquia promotes local and regional development by providing educational and extension activities designed to meet the specific needs of the communities in the various regions across the department.
Regionalization has become an essential tool for the University to provide higher education opportunities to students in nine subregions of the department of Antioquia. The University is recognized as an institution committed to providing the highest quality undergraduate and graduate education experience for regional communities thus ensuring the right to educational equity.
Via its regional campuses UdeA offers over 40 undergraduate and graduate programs as well as a wide variety of research and extension activities. About 5,000 regional students benefit from the various programs offered in our 11 regional campuses.
Universidad de Antioquia is governed by several corporate bodies including the Board of Trustees, the Academic Council, the Rector’s office, the Deans and Vice deans, the Faculty Council, the directors of the various departments across the University, as well as other bodies and authorities established by the statutes and regulations of the University.
The Office of International Affairs at Universidad de Antioquia is one of the University’s key vehicles of internationalization. It aims to promote international collaboration through a broad and innovative portfolio of academic, research, and cultural activities, while contributing to the delivery of the University’s enhancement priorities for teaching and learning.
