Spanish for international students
UdeA’s Spanish as a Second Language program focuses on providing non-native Spanish speakers with the skills and abilities they need to communicate more effectively in Spanish-speaking environments.
The program consists of 6 modules, each aimed at helping students achieve and develop their learning goals. Learning takes place both in the classroom and in outdoor settings in order to provide students a meaningful opportunity of being fully immersed in a Spanish-speaking environment and improve their ability to use language in real-life situations as they are in direct contact with native speakers of Spanish.
The course consists of the following modules:
Spanish for beginners
Intermediate level 1
Intermediate level 2
Intermediate level 3
Intermediate level 4
Each module consists of 40 contact hours. Participants are required to attend at least 4 hours of coursework per week. Delivery of modules 9 through 12 may vary based on the student’s specific request.
