The primary function of the Academic Council is to approve and evaluate research and extension activities and the plans of study. Also called the President, the Rector is the chief executive officer of the University and also serves as its key spokesperson. The rector also is charged with the responsibility of managing the University and all its departments, including the operation and administration of the University’s academic activities.
